Your website is your greatest asset - Tips on how to keep up to date!
POSTED 06 Dec 2011
Updating my website today got me to thinking, now is the best time ever to make sure you stay on top of your website and keep it up to date.
We’re all talking about it, every day we hear the economy’s problems are apparently worsening and that if the media’s stories are to be believed at all, then things won’t be getting any better in the near future. So as you look to cut back, what will you do with your website? Will you invest more money into it, or leave it until things change? I would consider the following:
Budget your marketing strategies effectively
The usual reaction when budgets are tight is to cut spending. Your website is one of the most cost-effective and powerful ways to market your business due to the exposure that it gets on the ever growing Internet. Make sure you’re making cuts in the right places.
Measure your results
Make full use of your website’s ability to record all your online enquiries, hits and traffic information, consider installing sophisticated website statistics software and track conversions. Systematically and regularly keep records of them and set aside some time for analytics. When times are tough, it’s important to know what is working and what isn’t.
The Internet continues to grow
The Internet grows forever larger despite what the economy is doing. There are always comments regarding less spending but e-Commerce sales continue to grow each year. The Internet is the place that your potential customers will go when times are tough, so keeping your website up to date should be very high on your list of priorities.
Your website is your best employee
A properly built website works hard for you and your company. It works twenty four hours a day, seven days a week and is never late for work, it will never call in sick and it will never take time off. When budgets are slim and times are tough your website is your business’s best asset.
Can you afford NOT to keep up to date?
